ABOUT ANITA
Hello! I'm Anita and I am a passionate, creative and experienced Hair & Makeup Artist based in London with 15 years of industry experience working in TV, Film, Media & Special Events.
My journey began in 2004 working as a Production Assistant at the BBC. I've always loved hair and makeup ever since I was a little girl, and I never thought this was a proper job until I started talking to the makeup artists on set, and they told me to follow my dreams and go for it.
I began my training at Westminster College in 2011 and then pursued advanced training courses at Creative Media Skills, TotalBarber Academy, Gorton Studio’s, Millennium FX and Kevin Fortune. I later gained a City & Guilds VRQ Level 2 in Ladies Hairdressing.
My expertise covers all genres of hair and makeup artistry, including period, vintage, modern day, applying wigs, layering facial hair, male grooming, barbering, dirtying down, creating minor special FX injuries, applying silicone prosthetics, airbrushing and full body spray tanning.
I love working on various projects and travelling to different locations. I am always up for a challenge, and I am not afraid of working outside of my comfort zone in any terrain, weather condition or environment.
When I’m not making cast look beautiful or scary for the camera, I am a member of BAFTA Connect. I also serve as a proud Combat Medic in the British Army Reserves and I just qualified as a Level 3 Pilates Instructor.
I have full insurance with public liability cover, I am First Aid/BLS trained, DBS checked, I have my own transport, and I hold a clean driver’s licence.
I am available for design, main team, crowd, dailies and personal opportunities in London, all around the UK and internationally.
